Baby Talk Designs- Review & Giveaway

If you have been following One Frugal Lady, then you know what a fan of Baby Talk Designs I am! When I was pregnant, I loved the maternity shirts, and I had an awesome Halloween shirt from there! I got more compliments wearing that shirt than I ever had with anything! You can see my previous review here. Although I am no longer expecting, Baby Talk still has an amazing selection of goodies to chose from!

I recently had the opportunity to review a new item from Baby Talk- the personalized sibling shirts! I honestly was not prepared for the level of cute these are....

For the longest time, I have been wanting to get a family picture taken. I was thinking in white tee shirts and jeans, you know, pretty basic. I have found exactly what I was looking for at Baby Talk! The personalized sibling shirts are perfect for any sibling and are completely customizable!

When I received the shirts, they were nicely tied up with a ribbon, so I know these would also make a really cute and practical gift idea as well! The quality is fabulous- a great cotton. The onesie is a heavier weight than the t-shirt, which is what I personally prefer. (hey, babies get cold!)

The onesie was a perfect fit for our little man Brayden! He has a bit of moving room, but I have found that usually when onesies have moving room, they can be too big around the neck. This one is not, this one fits great! The size here is 3-6 months, which is 12- 16 pounds and 23"-27". I would have to say these do run a bit small... Brayden is already wearing size 3 months, but I am not sure a 6 month old would fit in this. Other than that, I am loving the fit for now.

Katelyn shirt is equally cute, I must say! Since she just turned 4 in December, I ordered a size xsmall, which is   a 4-5, and 23" - 24". The fit is great, and I can see her being able to wear this for some time! The material is super soft and a lighter weight. She is so thrilled about being a big sister and loves this shirt!

Body after Baby- YurBuds- Review & Giveaway

Like I told you yesterday, running is awesome. Thing is, I don't remember a time that I was able to do just that. I am a mom. If I want to go for a stroll I have to bring my kids along. Don't get me wrong, I love that, it is just that sometimes, I would rather be able to go faster by myself, or be able to focus better. I have been known to stuff my earphones in my ears on a few walks when I have the chance. (of course not when my oldest is walking- hey, that would be dangerous!) I love music, it makes me feel more motivated and I don't even dread working out as much... problem is, I must have strangely shaped ears because all my life, when I put earbuds in my ears, they don't fit right. I end up hurting and they fall out... not cool. What is cool is YurBuds- custom fit earbuds that are comfortable, won't fall out and are sweat-proof!

         I had the opportunity to review YurBuds recently, and I am so excited to tell you about them!

To get your custom fit, you send YurBuds a picture of your ear, along with either a quarter or a standard earbud in. Here is my picture I sent...

With just this picture, I was sized as a 5.

My YurBuds arrived in a small blue carrying bag, which I thought was awesome for storing. The YurBuds that I reviewed are the personalized performance Enhancement Earphones. In my words- "really awesome earbud enhancers."

YurBuds also have the option of including earbuds as well. The above picture is the set I received. These are not comfortable to me at all- in fact, my ears get really torn up, and they always fall out! How frustrating is that!?

But with YurBuds, you get a correct fit. The material is somewhere between gel and plastic. Squishy, yet not too flexible. This makes it soft in your ear, yet it seems to "grab" onto your skin, and these won't fall out! YurBuds were created by a Marathoner and Triathlete so you can rest assured they are great quality!

YurBuds go around earbuds, creating a tunnel of sound. This makes the music you are listening to more intense, clear and crisp. I was amazed by how much clearer and louder my music was with YurBuds! I am sure that the better fit really helped out too- I must have been sharing my music with other joggers as well!


Another awesome thing about YurBuds? They are sweat-proof. Meaning you won't damage them if they become wet- or uh, you get caught under a raincloud!

YurBuds are great- I have NEVER in my life been able to enjoy any kind of earbuds, and I can now! These fit!

Due to the increased noise with YurBuds, do turn your volume down before turning on! Seriously, they make a huge difference!

Body After Baby- Everstride- Review & Giveaway

In my quest to be lean and mean, one of the best things to do is run. Seriously, I love to run. Maybe not for the right reasons, but I love the "alone" time of running, the time to think. The time to jam out to my music. The "anything but change diapers" time. ha. Although running can be great for your mind, body and sanity, it can create some problems with your tootsies. It may sound gross, but your feet can take a beating. EverStride has created a wonderful line of products to combat that. 

I wash my face twice a day. Ironically, I don't pay much attention to my feet. That seems odd because it is my feet that carry me around and support me. The products from EverStride combat things such as blistering, chapping and calluses. Seriously, just hearing those words scare me.... so if you run, do yourself a favor and check out EverStride!

I had the opportunity to review the products offered by EverStride, and I am so excited about them, that I no longer have any excuses not to run! 

First up, the Fungus RX Defense. This potion knocks out all sorts of nasty outcomes.. ringworm and athlete's foot. Best thing for yellowing of the nails on the market! You only use a tiny bit every time and works wonderfully! $17.99 for 1 oz. and lasts quite some time.

Anti-Chafing Sport Stick- This nifty little stick gets rid of dry,cracked or chapped skin. Here in the south, the humidity creates tons of friction and can make your skin chapped in no time. This sport stick goes on simple and quick and can be used wherever you need it- between thighs, under arms, wherever! Made with aloe and vitamin E, this is a must have for all runners!

My favorite, the Pro Therapy Foot Treatment. You know how your feet feel right after a great pedicure? Your feet will feel like that after using this little tube! Non-greasy and super moisturizing, it will get rid of calluses, dry skin and everything in between! I used this and then popped on some socks to retain the awesome-ness. Made with aloe, vitamin E, Shea butter and more.

-My Thoughts-

Although I have never experienced something as bad as athlete's foot, my feet hurt after a great run and I am thrilled to have great products from EverStride to keep me going!

The price is a bit steep, but you don't use much each time, so over the course, you will save money. 

These products work equally great for all activities, not just running of course. Anyone that wants great looking feet can benefit.

Body After Baby Event starts Today!

Okay, so I told you that bouncing back was not as easy this time around, and I am serious! In fact, I have always been the person who could eat anything I wanted, and never have to suffer the consequences... for example, before I go on a cruise, I don't cut back on foods to look good in a swimsuit like most women. In fact, I stretch out my stomach so I can eat even more awesome food... how wrong is that??

The Body After Baby Event will showcase some of the best products, ideas and recipes I have found that help keep us all healthy... and you probably won't even realize it, because they are that awesome! Since today is Thursday, and I am starting today, I will post my weight for all the world to see. In fact, I will post it every Thursday. Don't expect to see numbers drop like crazy, like I said, I am a food devil and I am breastfeeding... but I just got the OK to workout. So no excuses, right?!

This part is a little embarrassing to me, so I won't even say anything about it. Let's just say that I have some weight to lose! Before this pregnancy, I was at 125, and although I am not exactly shooting for that same number, I am hoping to get somewhere close.

So here goes nothing.

Body After Baby- ouch.

Okay, so most of you know how miserable I was during my last pregnancy. Now that it is over, I have a wonderful little boy, who is precious to me in every way.... however, my body is not bouncing back like it did last time at all! I may actually have to jump on this exercise bandwagon.... ugh.


For the next few weeks, I will be tracking my activities and food intake with you all. In fact, I am hoping that this will make me more aware of what I am consuming and doing... and of course anyone is welcome to join in so I don't feel like the underachiever! Of course there will be giveaways that make it easier to workout, stay on track and so forth! Clean Flame- a review.

This time of the year, I love to use our fire place. In fact, we have two in my house. Problem is, I am always worrying about the chemicals that are flying around from the starter logs....

Clean Flame is the earth friendly firelog. Seriously, these firelogs are made from 100% recycled materials, which means you don't have to worry about anything! No worries of pollution, depleting resources, or filling up landfills either!

The Clean Flame Clean Cycle Process is best described by them- 

"Our patented closed-loop production process offers enormous benefits for the environment and allows store chains and consumers to achieve their goals for a cleaner environment. The process starts when water-tight waxed-box containers are used to ship produce to grocery stores. Unfortunately, this highly weather-resistant material is not readily recyclable. Simply put, these are a firelog you can feel great about!

I had the opportunity to review a few Clean Flame Firelogs, and I was so very excited because it finally got pretty cool in my parts! 

The Clean Flame Firelog works just like any other- just light the ends of the paper on fire on both sides and enjoy. The first major difference with these firelogs is that these can be used in a wood stove, fireplace, BBQ pit, or fire pit. All of these options are safe as no chemicals will be floating in the air. These firelogs actually emit lower emissions that regular firewood!

Because there are such low emissions put out, you can easily eat over a fire as well! You don't have to worry about soaking your food in nasty chemicals or wax- you can have wonderful s'mores, hot dogs or anything else you may love!

The flame is super high as well- and last for 3 hours! In fact, it could not be more simple!

I was just talking about baby food, and there comes a time, (okay, more so than not...) when it seems there are just not enough hours in the day. Although I would prefer to make my own baby food from scratch, sometimes there are times when you have to just grab something for dinner.
