Heely's shoes are not just for the kiddos!

I am sure you have heard of Heely's before.... ya' know, the shoes that have wheels on the bottom. I have seen quite a few kids in the last few years cruising around on these and thought, "geez, that kid is gonna fall!" I would have never guessed that Heely's also makes shoes for the adults as well! Yes, you heard me right! As if our kids aren't already embarrassed of us parents, we can now cruise around in Heely's! Ha!

I had the opportunity to personally try out a pair of Heely's shoes recently, and after much practice, I may add, I think in a nutshell, these shoes rock! 

At first, I was pretty sketchy, I am notorious for being quite clumsy to say the least. However, Heely's are a typical casual shoe, but they can also be transformed. So you can wear these shoes with or without wheels. This is great, because I gotta tell ya, there are quite a few places that I would not want to be on wheels... hey, I am clumsy!

I picked out the "sassy" shoes, because they are black covered in bling and look quite girly! I first noticed that this was a typical basic tennis shoe, made of pearlized synthetic leather, covered in rhinestones and glitter, thick rubber sole... etc. 

Inside the box I found the wheels... gasp! The folks at Heely's are pretty awesome, too, they send very detailed instructions on how to insert the wheels, and vice versus as well. And for us that have trouble reading instructions, you'll find awesome pictures too!

The idea is very quite simple though, you just pop off the "trap door" with the tool included, and pop in the wheels! Then you are good to go! 

These shoes are cute, and much to my surprise, you can actually walk around like normal with the wheels in. However, to "roll" around, you must lean back on the wheels. This was extremely difficult for me at first, given my ahem, major lack of coordination...  once I got this move down though, it was a blast!

All in all, these shoes are cute, comfortable, fun and definitely different- I mean, do you know of any shoes like this? 

There is an insane amount of different styles and colors available on the Heely's website- from children's to adults!

The sassy shoes that I reviewed are $55- typical for shoes, but these are shoes AND skates! hello!
