You should already know how I feel about breastfeeding, and I still believe it is one of the best gifts you can give your child! However, nursing in public can be embarrassing, trust me! With that said, I was searching for a fabulous way to cover up, but all the nursing covers I found were rough, full of chemicals and well, ugly. I ran across Pao Pao Baby, and was intrigued by the name at first, and after reading and seeing these gorgeous nursing covers, I knew I had to have one!
Cheryl, the creator of Pao Pao Baby, was a first time mommy, looking for a fantastic nursing cover herself. Her criteria was simple, and pretty much the same as mine- functional, eco-friendly, good looking, stylish and affordable.... when she came up empty handed, she decided to make her own! Pao Pao Baby was taken from the lyrics of a Chinese lullaby, "pao pao" loosely translates to "precious little" (baby.) I love this!
The main thing that separates Pao Pao Baby from other "eco-friendly" shops is the cotton here really is natural! I see it all the time, I think I am purchasing an eco friendly item, yet the process of making it the way it is, is not natural by any means! You will NOT find that at Pao Pao Baby! What you will find is gorgeous, one of kind, unbleached, all natural and extremely functional nursing covers and more!
I decided on the Tea Stained Natural Cotton Nursing Cover with Sea Turtle. I knew this was cute from seeing the pictures online, but I was not prepared for how wonderful this would be!
-Key Features-
This is a fabulous size- Not quite 3 foot wide by a little over 2 foot long.
Adjustable strap on top, (d-rings) just throw over your head.
There is a rigid neckline that keeps the material from draping around your neck. This gives you a constant view of baby, without exposing yourself.
Pocket on front for convenience. Think pacifiers, cell phone, etc.
Sea Turtle is super cute, made from eco-felt. (made from recycled post consumer plastic bottles.)
On the other side of the Sea Turtle there is a 100% cotton terry washcloth sewn on. This is my favorite feature!

Everything from Pao Pao Baby is gorgeous, functional, eco-friendly and very affordable! Prices start at under $30!
You can find unbleached, tea stained, natural or organic nursing covers. There is even a precious diaper bag!
You won't have to worry about any chemicals from this shop! No, nada, nothing!
This material is simply gorgeous and I get compliments galore!
