CSN stores- Review & Giveaway!

As you must know by now, I love CSN stores! You can find anything you could possibly imagine plus more! Even better? If you find a better price, they will match it! On my most recent opportunity to work with CSN stores, I had the opportunity to review an item, and I chose the Burlington Baby Bassinet with Liner. Since I am due any day now, this was the perfect item- something I really needed and it was an amazing price! This bassinet is only $45.89 right now at CSN stores, regularly priced $57.99. I have seen this exact same bassinet at other online shops in the price ranges of $75- $99, so this is a great price for such a practical item!

The bassinet arrived in a huge box, and I was relieved to see that this bassinet is more compact that I thought. The one I used with my daughter was mine when I was a baby- an old wicker bassinet. And no offense, ma, that old rickety thing scares me! This bassinet from Burlington Baby is made of thick plastic, and very sturdy- holding up to 25 pounds. (which is almost as much as my almost 4-year old weighs!) As you can see from the above picture, there were a few steps to put it all together, but it was very simple!

Once together, insert the liner. The liner is one big piece that slides over two "knobs" from the main part to stay secure. After that, you just pull liner around the outside edges. Attach liner for top, and you are practically done. The finished bassinet has a measurement of about 17" wide by 32 1/2 " long.

One of my favorite features is the wheels. I love the wheels, because it makes the bassinet so very versatile. Of course the wheels lock for added safety as well! Even better than wheels?? You can flop the wheels over in seconds and have a rocking bottom instead! I love having options because every baby is different!

My other favorite feature? This bassinet comes with 3 different grosgrain ribbons to add to the outside. One each in pink, blue and green! How smart is that? I love being able to hand down my baby items once they are outgrown, but it can be tough.. everything we had last time around was pink. This bassinet is so awesome because it is great for everyone!

I am sure I am driving you all baby crazy lately with all my new baby finds, but don't worry, like I said, CSN stores has it all! You can find anything- for anyone! I mean, they even have an ultimate gift finder. You can really narrow it down with that handy little tool!

I had the opportunity to try out a product from Farm Rich, and we went with the Cheese Sticks. I have tried frozen cheese sticks before, and were not really impressed. They always seemed artificial and I always felt feeling ripped off!

The Farm Rich Cheese Sticks were totally different! They are stuffed with 100% mozzarella cheese! They can be toasted, baked or fried. We had them baked, and they were wonderfully crisp and cheesy on the inside! The bags are a pretty good size as well- there were about 30 cheese sticks in the bag, and I loved that there was a resealable closure as well. Of course once I read no trans fat, I figured I could eat more....

Giani Granite- Review & Giveaway

When you walk into my house, you are greeted with the most awful Formica counter top that is not only outdated, but is huge... Problem is, I don't want to spend a fortune on replacing it nor do I want to continue looking at it... I just found a wonderful and cost-saving alternative- Giani Granite! 

Giani Granite has created great all-in-one kits to make your counter tops look like granite, but without the price tag to go with it! Each kit comes with everything you need to cover a typical size kitchen- about 35 square feet, and easy to follow directions.

There are 6 different color options to chose from with the kits as well. You could stick to classics, or even get crazy and have red if you wanted! I had the opportunity to review a kit from Giani Granite, and since my crazy huge wet bar that I hate so much is black laminate, I went with the Chocolate Brown kit.

The kit arrived very quickly, and the process was really quite simple. My husband had this done in a few days. Inside the kit, the following items were inside- 

Instruction Manual

Demonstration DVD

Roller arm & 2 roller pads

Giant sponge applicator

Foam brush

IronCore Primer

Brown Feldspar mineral paint

Inca Gold mineral paint

chocolate brown mineral paint

clear topcoat

Step 1- Roll on Primer Coat 

I was surprised by how much better the counter top looked just after this step! 

After this is on, you must let dry for 12 hours.

Step 2- Sponge on Giani Minerals-

We started with the brown feldspar paint- you sponge on lightly.

Let dry 4 hours.

My husband used a Styrofoam plate for each step, making clean up a breeze!

Step 3- Sponge on Inca Gold mineral paint- 
Just like the last step, sponge on lightly.
Let dry 4 hours.

Step 4- Sponge on Chocolate Brown Mineral Paint- 
Sponge on lightly and let dry 4 hours.

Step 5- Apply Topcoat with Roller
Don't touch for 2 days.
Finished product-

What a difference that makes, huh?

-My Thoughts- 

Giani Granite will not leave fingerprints and will never need to be re-sealed.

Clean counter top normally, or you can purchase Giani Cleaner. 

Each kit is $54.95 - MUCH better price than Granite or even formica at that!

Super easy to apply- you must just have patience to wait on drying time!

These kits are not only for formica, but also corian and all back splashes.

Baby GoGo- Review & Giveaway

Lately, with the anticipation of a new baby around here, my daughter has really been playing the "mommy role." With that, I mean, she is becoming more nurturing, caring, independent and eagerly wanting to help out whenever possible! Awesome. Since most children tend to imitate their parents, I am flattered.. ha! Baby dolls are a great way to let your children express their nurturing side, and have something for them to take care of. Baby Go Go does just that.

Baby Go Go is a baby doll created from Little Sib. They have managed to go out of the box and create a doll that is gender neutral, fun, colorful and environmentally friendly! Since the world is made up of different types of families, why would we all want that generic baby doll with the baby pink bows?? Baby Go Go can be a girl or boy and is for everyone- girls and boys.

I had the opportunity to review Baby Go Go, well, technically, my daughter did. She received the Baby Go Go Goes Home Doll Set. This set is perfect considering we will soon be bringing home a new baby from the hospital too! My daughter was super excited about Baby Go Go, and immediately wanted to rip him out of the package! ( ours is a boy, since I am expecting a boy) He came in a gender neutral outfit, including hat, blanket, and book. The baby is 13" long, with a soft body, so is perfect for cuddling!

My daughter has been lugging Baby Go Go around for the past few days since he arrived. She is even more excited to meet her real baby brother, and has already planned out a way to bring Baby Go Go to the hospital! 

The book is great- it tells about a baby coming home from the hospital, meeting his family, which includes siblings, to getting a nickname. It also includes bits about his siblings helping out, which I am sure my daughter loves!

Baby Go Go also has other products that you can purchase separately as well. And who doesn't love accessories??
You can find the diaper bag, moses basket, or an extra outfit!

SeaPak Shrimp Co. Review

I love seafood, and thankfully, my daughter does too because we eat a ton of it. Did you know that 91% of kids don't eat the recommended amount of seafood? Sea Pak is a company that makes it even easier for you and your family to enjoy seafood, even on those super busy nights! 

I had heard of Sea Pak before, but recently, I had the opportunity to give their products a try, and I was so surprised by how many options they have and the food is actually really good. Not being real big on frozen foods in general, I was skeptical, because being a southern Louisiana girl, I know that you can't beat fresh seafood. 

At my grocery store, which is super small, there were about 5-6 different items offered by Sea Pak. My daughter wanted the Popcorn Shrimp of course! We went with it, and later that day, I asked my daughter what she wanted for dinner and all she wanted was salad... geez, what a kid! I asked her if we could put some of her new popcorn shrimp on the top, and she agreed. Once dinner was ready, she immediately dove into those little shrimp and loved them! These are not your typical frozen popcorn shrimp, they are not shredded pieces inside, they are actually shrimp. You bake them for about 10 minutes and are done! The batter is very light, crisp and crunchy. Including a healthy dose of Omega-3s and Vitamin D, this is probably one of the best frozen dinner options out there.

Zippo Hand Warmer- Review & Giveaway

Unless you are living under a rock, you have heard of Zippo before. They make the best lighters. I mean, one year, I got everyone a cool Zippo, because you can find all sorts of lighters- one everyone will truly love! I feel pretty left out however, because I just realized that Zippo has created all new sorts of goodies that are practical, useful and made of durable materials! The Zippo Hand Warmer is one of those new gadgets, and just in time for hunting season for us! Maybe skiing or camping for you??!

I had the opportunity to review the new Zippo Hand Warmer, and I was expecting some tiny little thing... these are actually a great size! They are about 4" tall and about 3" wide. However, they are slimmer than 1/4" so they won't stuff your pockets so full you walk funny.... This is a bit smaller than a deck of cards.

When my package arrived, I thought immediately that these would make an awesome stocking stuffer! They are put together in a nice little box, containing the hand warmer, a black drawstring warming bag and a plastic filling cup. (directions too, of course!)

To fill is very simple, just fill, ignite and place in warming bag. The plastic filling cup is genius, and makes it so very simple! No, this does not produce a flame, it just produces heat.

The Zippo Hand Warmer works up to 12 hours, providing heat wherever you need it. There is no smell- this is completely odorless, which is perfect for hunting.

This would also be great for Ice fishing, Skiing, Snowmobiling, or any outdoor activity ... I am thinking football games would be toasty with this little guy!

-My Thoughts-

This would make a perfect stocking stuffer for anyone in my family or anyone who loves practical gifts!

The Zippo Hand Warmer is $19.95, which is steep for warming items as far as hunting...(most hunters use disposable & cheap heating packs)  but this is metal, lasts for 12 hours, so in the long run, a great deal!

Simple to use, and just like other Zippo products, will last forever! Just refill with lighter fluid.
