Easter Egg Hunt!

I am fortunate enough to live in a small community that celebrates every single holiday together! Yesterday, we had an Easter egg hunt with the kids, and we had a blast! Followed by friends, neighbors and crawfish! What are your plans for Easter! I can't wait!

I recently came across care4hire.com, and felt as if I was in heaven! On the website, you can look up babysitters, housekeepers, tutors, elder care, pet care and more!  I have NEVER had a babysitter, other than grandparents, which is pretty rare at that, so I am so excited to try out this company!

First, you decide on what exactly you are looking for, and type in your zip code to check what is avaliable. Living in the sticks where I do, there are actually quite a few listings in my area! The caregivers upload a picture, tell their experiences, age, qualifications, their rate,when they are avaliable, and what exactly they are looking for.

If you are interested, you can contact them thru care4hire, and set up a time to meet in person, or schedule help! To hire a caregiver, you can sign up with a membership plan, and they also offer a free 14 day membership, just to test the waters. - how cool is that?

Also listed on the site are great information such as tips for hiring caregivers, such as your screening process, contacting previous providers, background checks, etc. Also offered are gift certificates, which would be a wonderful gift for mommas, like me, hint hint....

Care4hire also has a blog that is updated all the time, with awesome information! Practically any question about anything to do with caregiving you can imagine!

Overall, I am diggin' this company, and I love what all they offer! I am on my way to finding a babysitter myself! .... or even a housekeeper! Whoo-hoo!

I love how people with no children lecture me on how to raise mine. Yes, this is sarcasm.

The Bachelor and Just Jen

Do you guys watch the Bachelor? I totally do, and my husband even watches it too... I think he is taking notes... 


If you DO watch the Bachelor, then  you know that after this season was over, that Molly and Jason from a few seasons ago, had their wedding on the show. You can check it out here.  It was practically what every woman imagines their wedding to be like! It was awesome, to say the least. Even with rain.... 


One of the things I noticed on the show, was that Molly had a sweatshirt from Just Jen, and it was personalized with "Mrs. Mesnick" , and matching sweatpants, how cute is that? I wish I  had known about this company when I was getting married! 


I actually have a shirt from Just Jen, with a fleur de lis on the front, and I always get compliments on it! Their products are amazing! They have practically everything you can think of, and if not, they will make it for you- from T-shirts, kid's shirts, aprons, bikinis, flip flops, obviously, bridal hoodies, and so much more!

She caught her first Catfish!

... and it was a keeper, to say the least. I can't believe that this catfish didn't break her sponge bob fishing pole! It must be hereditary... haha!

Summer is almost here!

Yesterday it was a perfect day, to me! The high was 78 degrees, and the sun was out.... aaahhhh.....

I got a ton of things done! I mowed the yard, raked out all the dead grass, planted elephant ears, hosta, gladiolas..... I love glads..... I will update later when they start to bloom!

I also planted some veggies, tomatoes, bell pepper, strawberries.... yum!

I can't wait until daylight savings begins, too. I still can't stand that it gets dark so early!

Mahatma Rice review & giveaway!

I received some Mahatma Indian Basmati and Jasmine rice from Bzz Agent in the mail a few days ago, and just had the chance to test it out! I was so surprised!

If you know my family, we love brown rice. It is an acquired tast- like dark beer, or something... anyways, when I received this rice in the mail I was skepitcal, because we have been eating brown rice for so long, and when we try white rice, we hate it.

The Mahatma Indian basmati and the Jasmine rice were different, however, and they have a totally different taste and aroma than other rices I have ever tasted!

For the Jasmine rice, I made a creamy risotto! I have always wanted to try risotto, because Gordon Ramsey always has it on his shows, and I was up for a challenge. It was awesome!

For the Indian Basmati rice, I tried a coconut shrimp and rice salad recipe, and I will totally be making this again. It was one of the most quiet meals we have ever had in my house... and that means it was yummy!!

It's not a man's world after all....

So, for those of you that know me, I am not a real girly girl... I like to work outside and I think I am pretty tough. In fact, I spent all day today digging out a ditch in my yard. Yeah, fun stuff. But a girl does have her limits.

Do you remember a few weeks ago, when I was saying great ways to save money? Well, one of those things was that my husband had a cheap car, that was great on gas, etc... It broke.

I have no earthly idea what to do on a car like that.

Don't get me wrong, if you put a beautiful classic hunk of metal in front of me, I can do most anything, but a Honda? I have no clue.

Instead of acting like a damsel in distress in front of my husband, I had to figure some things out. I stumbled upon repairpal.com, and I am seeing things so much clearer now! I am lovin' it! In fact, my husband, Mr. know it all about cars, is actually lovin' it too!

So, this site practically tells you everything you could possibly need to know about your car! I feel like a freakin' genius..... okay, haha... I can hear some of you giggling....

For example, say you live in say, Phoenix, you can type in Phoenix auto repair, and you can find all the mechanics in the Phoenix area that can work on your car. Not just that, you can get honest reviews and ratings from people who have been there. I love that! You can even get price estimates! sweet.

If you just want to know about your car, like I did, you can type in your car. I am so not telling you what kind of car I have, because I don't want stalkers.... BUT, we can pretend I have a

ford escort, and you will get a ton of information on your car! You can get ratings, answers to questions, common problems, and find out about recalls. very cool.

If you actually know about cars a tad bit more, or want to really fake it, you can even type in parts on a car. Timing belt, Catalytic Converter, Spring Perch, Water Pump... whatever you need to find out about- whether to test your knowledge, fix a problem, or to just KNOW.

Hope this helps out some of you who have car issues like I do... I am pretty sure that I need a new camshaft after all this learning... great.
