They have a huge line of products of weather instruments that not only work well so you don't have to, but these are also products that are good on the eyes as well! You can find things such as mailboxes to BBQ tools, to that special gadget for a birthday coming up.... if it involves the outdoors, Wind & Weather has what you are looking for!

I don't know about you, but the fall has brought some wonderful weather in the south! This is the time we really start to host parties at our house! I love this Moon Party Fire Dome- it would be beautiful on my back porch!

I had the opportunity to review an item, and I chose the Solar Emergency Radio. This radio seemed pretty practical online, but when I received it in the mail, I thought it was above and beyond! The size was perfect- I could easily stash this somewhere for the next emergency, take camping and my husband, who is a UPS driver, wants to take it with him to work! (they don't have radios in the trucks.) 

The American Red Cross recommends that all households have a portable battery-operated or hand crank radio as part of their complete emergency preparedness kit to listen to local radio and NOAA emergency information broadcasts. 

Of course there is a solar panel on the top- and if that wasn't enough, there is a hand crank on the front and the radio can also take 3 AAA batteries.

Other features include-
 AM/FM Weather Band Radio
NOAA Weather Alert- (all 7 channels)
Alarm Clock- complete with snooze button and timer!

On the right side of the radio, you will find a clip- and yes, it comes with a handy little strap to insert. The Tuning knob for Weather Band and the volume control.

On the opposite side, you will see the light. This is a LED light- much brighter and more energy efficient. There is clear and also a flashing beacon signal- red LED flashing.

On the back, you will see the AUX-in- for playing your external media, such as an Ipod.

The Phone charger and the headphone jack.

Below that, you will see an antennae- this is a big one- and it collapses nicely to fit right on the back.

Below that, you will see the area for batteries.

-My Thoughts-

I love this little radio! 

The price is $54.95 at Wind & Weather, which is a better deal that I have seen in-stores.

Not only for emergencies, I will use this for camping- I can see it now- my bored 3 year old wanting something to do, and I give this radio to her to crank up!

With that said, this radio is very durable and tough. Although I do wish it came with a carrying bag as well.

My husband wants me to tell my readers how much he loves this radio as well- and that speaks volumes- he usually cares nothing about what comes in the mail around here! heehee!
