Glee Gum and Dork Diaries- Review & Giveaway!

Today, I have two fun and exciting items to tell you about! Both items are for the younger kids, but I have to tell you, I enjoyed both items as well!

The first product is Glee Gum-

Glee Gum specializes in gum obviously, but Glee Gum is all natural and available in six different flavors. They also carry a line of Make your own candy kits! How fun is that? There are 3 different varieties- Chewing gum Kit, Chocolate Kit and Gummies Kit!

I had the opportunity to review a candy kit, and I went with the gummies kit. We love gummies at my house, and we were super excited to give these a try! 

Just like Glee Gum, the make your own Gummies kit is made with all natural ingredients. Seaweed is the secret ingredient! 

The kit comes with everything you need to make plenty of gummies! Just grab a bowl, follow the simple directions and you are done! These can even be made in the microwave! You must find things to make molds with as well- we used bendable straws, which worked wonderfully, and our gummies looked just like worms! The taste was great, and knowing that they were all natural was a great bonus. My favorite part was that the seaweed ingredient made it possible to save the gummies batch, and I could heat up again later, and make more. Nothing was wasted!

I think any of these make your own kits would make a great gift for anyone ages 5-100! These are fun, yet simple and even my 3 year old had a blast making these! At only $13 a kit, these are great to have on hand for gifts as well!

The Second Item I want to tell you about is the Dork Diaries book series!

Dork Diaries is a book series were created from many of the middle school memories from the author, Rachel. These are not your typical pre-teen books, these are made to look like someone else's diary! The books are very fun to read, and are very age appropriate for the younger girls, who would totally get this book- while I was reading them, I felt myself easing back to middle school and relating! 

The pictures are very age appropriate as well! Like the one above "Love My Phone." If any of you have school age children, then you know how important things like this in life are for a pre-teen!

All in all, I think this series of books is really cute. It has something about it that draws you in, and makes you want to keep reading. I love that these books looks like a diary- the look of handwritten, scribbled on notes with cute pictures everywhere. I think that most girls ages 7-14 would love these books as well!

Both books have both been listed on the New York times Best seller list!

The Tales from the Not so Fabulous Life won the 2010 children's choice book of the year award for the 5th- 6th grade division!

I think both of these products would be an awesome gift for the pre-teen in your life! - Birthdays, Holidays, good grades, etc.

Even my 3 year old loved making the gummies kit- so those would work for anyone- who loves candy of course!
